How to Tell a Genuine Spiritual Healer From a Scam
If you have ever searched online for help and then hesitated, asking yourself “is it a scam?”, you were right to be careful. There is a great deal of dishonesty in this field, and I would rather you learned how to see it clearly than fall prey to it. So let me be honest with you about how a genuine spiritual healer behaves, and how a fraud behaves.
Why the field is full of fakes
People come to a spiritual advisor at a difficult moment: a lost love, a run of misfortune, a fear they cannot name. When someone is hurting, they are more willing to believe, and more willing to pay. Dishonest people know this. That is why so many websites promise the world for a fee, and why the words “spiritual healer scam” are typed into search engines every single day.
I will not pretend the whole field is honest. It is not. But a real tradition exists behind the noise, and a genuine practitioner can be recognised by the way he treats you, long before any question of money arises. If you are still deciding whether this kind of help is even for you, it helps to understand what a spiritual advisor really does.
Red flags of a scam
Trust is built slowly and broken quickly. Here are the signs I would urge you to watch for. If you meet more than one of these, step back.
- They demand a large payment upfront, before they have even heard your story or understood your situation.
- They guarantee results, or promise you a specific outcome by a specific date. No honest person can promise this.
- They pressure you with fear, claiming you are cursed, or that only they can lift something terrible that is hanging over you.
- They keep inventing new payments: a special candle, a rare ingredient, an “urgent” second ritual. The price never stops rising.
- They refuse to ever say “I cannot help you.” To them, everyone can be helped, because everyone can be charged.
Notice that the worst of these is the promise itself. A guarantee is not reassurance; it is bait. The moment someone swears your problem is solved for certain, you are no longer talking to a healer. You are talking to a salesman.
What a genuine practitioner does
A real practitioner listens first. Before anything else, he wants to understand what has happened to you, in your own words, without rushing you. He will tell you honestly whether your situation is one he can work with, and if it is not, he will say so, even though it costs him the work.
He will never guarantee an outcome, because no one can. Spiritual guidance opens a path and supports you; it does not override the free will of other people or the shape of your life. And he will not frighten you. Fear is the tool of the dishonest. Calm, patience and honesty are the marks of the real.
I would rather tell you the truth and lose the work than take your money and give you false hope. That is the whole difference, and you can feel it in the first conversation.
This is how I have worked for twenty-seven years, whether someone comes to me to reconnect with a lost love or simply for clarity. The honest answer is sometimes “yes, I can help”, sometimes “not in the way you hope”, and you deserve to hear both.
Questions worth asking
You are allowed to ask questions. An honest person welcomes them; a fraud grows impatient. Before you commit to anyone, ask:
What exactly do you propose to do, and why? What can you realistically expect, and what can you not? What will it cost in total, all of it, from the start? And crucially: what happens if it does not work? Listen carefully to that last answer. A genuine practitioner will speak plainly about the limits of the work. A scammer will dodge, or promise there is no such thing as failure.
Trust your instinct
You know, deep down, when something feels wrong. If you leave a conversation feeling pressured, frightened or confused about money, that feeling is information, respect it. A good advisor leaves you calmer than he found you, not more anxious. You should feel heard, not hurried.
So take your time. Ask your questions. Watch how a person behaves when you are hesitant, because that tells you everything. If you would like to see how I work, honestly and without pressure, you are welcome to look through my services and simply write to me. There is no obligation in a first message.
